About this variety
Der ‚Roter Boskoop’ ist ein kräftig säuerlicher, aromatischer Winterapfel und eine der bekanntesten alten Sorten. Als triploide Sorte taugt er selbst kaum als Befruchter, pflanze in der Nähe eine diploide Sorte wie ‚Elstar’. Er wächst stark und wird erst spät tragend, dann aber zuverlässig.
Festes, säurebetontes Fruchtfleisch mit viel Würze. Der klassische Apfel für Apfelkuchen, Bratapfel und kräftige Tafelmomente; nach einigen Wochen Lager wird er milder.
