About this variety
Miragrande ist die zweite scharka-tolerante Geisenheimer Mirabelle neben ‚Bellamira’ und trägt ihren Namen zu Recht: Sie bildet besonders große Früchte, die fast schon an kleine Reneklauden erinnern. Sie ist selbstfruchtbar, wächst stark und reift mittelfrüh ab Anfang August (KW 32). Wer eine moderne, robuste Mirabelle mit großen Früchten sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Sorte ist sortenrechtlich geschützt.
Auffallend große, goldgelbe Früchte mit milder, runder Süße und saftigem Fruchtfleisch. Schön zum Frischessen und ergiebig in der Küche, aus wenigen Früchten wird viel Kompott oder Marmelade.
