Bezirksverband der Gartenfreunde Oldenburg-Ammerland e.V.

Bezirksverband der Gartenfreunde Oldenburg-Ammerland e.V. is the district association for allotment gardeners in Oldenburg (Lower Saxony) and the Ammerland district. It represents eight affiliated clubs from the city of Oldenburg and the Ammerland region and works together with the city, the district and the state. The association describes itself as politically, denominationally and ideologically neutral and works to preserve existing allotment sites and create new ones open to the public. Its offerings include training courses for garden advisors, workshops, seminars and talks, as well as youth outreach through the Schreberjugend. Since 2010 the association has jointly run training courses for prospective garden advisors together with the Delmenhorst district association.
