It was originally founded after the end of World War II as the Bezirksgruppe Goslar within the Reichsbund Deutscher Kleingärtner e. V. and joined the Landesverband Braunschweig on January 1, 1956. The district association includes at least eight allotment garden clubs in the Goslar area and surroundings, among them clubs in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Liebenburg, and Schladen. The Landesverband Braunschweig, to which the district association belongs, is organized into 16 district associations in total.
