Kreisverband Mittweida

Kreisverband Mittweida is the district association of allotment gardeners based in Mittweida (Saxony, Germany). It emerged in 1990 from the Kreisverband Hainichen and was renamed to its current form in 1994 as part of the Saxon district reform. The association brings together more than 60 allotment garden clubs from Mittweida, Frankenberg, Hainichen, Lunzenau, Rochlitz, Geringswalde and Hartmannsdorf as well as the surrounding rural areas, representing more than 2,200 leaseholder families in total. It is a member of the Landesverband Sachsen der Kleingärtner e.V. (Saxony state association), which in turn belongs to the Bundesverband Deutscher Gartenfreunde e.V. Its tasks include mediation, legal advice, annual training sessions and arranging insurance and specialist literature for its member clubs.
