About this federation

Kreisverband Steinburg is the district association of garden friends for the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein. It comprises eleven allotment garden clubs, including those in Itzehoe, Glückstadt and surroundings, Wilster, Lägerdorf, Kellinghusen, Hohenlockstedt, Wrist, Krempe, Horst, Münsterdorf and Oelixdorf. Together, the member clubs manage 33 allotment garden sites with around 1,180 gardeners. The district association advises its member clubs on technical and legal matters, including environmental protection, ecological gardening and club administration, and is affiliated with the Bundesverband Deutscher Gartenfreunde.
