Landesverband Brandenburg der Gartenfreunde e. V.

Landesverband Brandenburg der Gartenfreunde e. V. is the state association for allotment gardening in the German state of Brandenburg, founded on 24 June 1990 in the course of German reunification. It is a member of the national umbrella organization Bundesverband Deutscher Gartenfreunde and, according to its own figures, represents around 60,000 allotment gardeners organized in about 1,198 local associations. These local associations are in turn grouped into roughly 30 district, county, and regional associations, which together manage about 3,100 hectares of allotment garden land. The association represents its member associations' interests toward politics and local authorities, provides expert advice, and publishes the member magazine Brandenburger Kleingärtner.
