Landesverband der Gartenfreunde Ostfriesland e. V. is a regional (state) federation for allotment gardening in Ostfriesland (Lower Saxony), based in Emden. It comprises 13 member associations with a total of 1,048 gardens, home to around 1,764 organized allotment gardeners who cultivate about 59 hectares of garden land. The federation supports and advises its affiliated allotment garden organizations on the care and management of gardens, environmental protection, and legal and insurance matters, including through specialist and legal advisory seminars. Its events take place at the clubhouse of Kleingartenbauverein Emden-Nord e. V. The federation is affiliated with the Bundesverband der Kleingartenvereine Deutschlands e. V. (BKD), the German federal allotment garden association.
