About this federation

Stadtverband der Gartenfreunde e.V. Genthin und Umgebung is a registered, nonprofit district association in Genthin (Saxony-Anhalt) under the Federal Allotment Gardens Act. It grew out of the district association of garden friends founded on 12 March 1992, which was renamed to its current name in 1995, and is the legal successor of the Association of Allotment Gardeners, Settlers and Small Animal Breeders (VKSK) of the former Genthin district. The association comprises 10 allotment garden clubs with about 640 allotment gardeners on roughly 50 hectares of garden land. It is a member of the Landesverband der Gartenfreunde Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. and, through it, of the Bundesverband der Gartenfreunde e.V.
