About this federation
Verband Chemnitz/Land is a district association of allotment gardeners based in Chemnitz (Saxony). It was founded on 27 July 1990 from the district association Karl-Marx-Stadt of the VKSK, which had existed since 1979. The association comprises 69 member clubs with around 4,000 members and manages an area of 150 hectares with 3,900 allotment gardens across 26 localities in the district of Chemnitz. Its umbrella organization is the Landesverband Sachsen der Kleingärtner e.V., which in turn belongs to the Bundesverband der Kleingartenvereine Deutschlands e.V.
