District federation Wilmersdorf

Bezirksverband der Kleingärtner Berlin-Wilmersdorf e. V. is the district association of allotment garden clubs in the Berlin locality of Wilmersdorf and a member of the Landesverband Berlin der Gartenfreunde e. V. The association was officially registered on August 10, 1953 at the Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under number 112/NZ, though its roots trace back to the 1930s, when a „Stadtgruppe Wilmersdorf e. V.“ existed in 1936. It currently comprises 14 allotment garden colonies with about 1,512 plots covering roughly 471,171 square meters, including Oeynhausen, founded in 1904 and the oldest and largest colony in the association. The association's tasks include horticultural advice, support with applications and building matters for its member clubs, and participation in events such as the Environmental Festival and the „Langer Tag der StadtNatur“.
