District federation Zehlendorf

Bezirksverband Zehlendorf der Kleingärtner e. V. is the umbrella association of allotment garden clubs in the Zehlendorf locality of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district of Berlin. Eight allotment garden colonies are organized under the association, with the oldest existing for about 100 years and the youngest for roughly 40 years. Zehlendorf and Steglitz kept separate allotment associations after the district merger. The district association is a member of the Landesverband Berlin der Gartenfreunde e. V. and is run on a volunteer basis. The allotment sites it oversees are publicly accessible, unfenced green spaces under private use.
