Kreisverband Brandenburg / Havel der Gartenfreunde e.V. is the district association of allotment gardeners for the city of Brandenburg an der Havel (Brandenburg). It was founded in 1990, right after German reunification, through the transformation of the former East German "Verband der Kleingärtner, Siedler und Kleintierzüchter" (VKSK), and is affiliated with the Landesverband Brandenburg der Gartenfreunde e.V. It currently comprises 95 member associations with around 5,300 plots, compared to 98 associations and 5,642 plots in 1991. The association administers a total of 282 hectares of leased land, 175 hectares of which are leased from the city of Brandenburg an der Havel. It offers its member associations services such as gardening advice and an overview of available plots.
