Verband der Gartenfreunde e.V. Gera-Land is a district association of allotment gardeners in Gera (Thuringia), based on Berliner Strasse 147/149. It is affiliated with the Thuringia state association of garden friends (Landesverband Thüringen der Gartenfreunde e.V.) and represents around 92 member clubs across the Gera-Land region, including allotment garden associations in towns such as Ronneburg, Weida, Bad Köstritz and Münchenbernsdorf. The association advises and supports its member clubs on all matters of club administration and works to preserve and appropriately expand existing allotment garden sites. Its chairman is Thomas Elstner.
